The moment we turned that corner in Vagator, we knew.
This was the plot that would become Q Vagator, our latest Anokha Estates project.
A short way past a majestic banyan tree, the road dipped into a gentle slope and opened into a space wrapped in forest on all sides, with the Chapora River glinting in the distance. When we first stood there, we didn’t yet know about the river views — and we didn’t need to.
The stillness was enough. The quiet hum of swaying trees, the calls of peacocks, the way the air felt: calm, peaceful, and complete.
We had been searching for a long time and saw many plots that met some of our requirements, but never all of them.
This one exceeded every expectation.
It wasn’t just a plot in Vagator; it was THE plot. A rare combination of seclusion and accessibility, this location is just a few minutes’ stroll from the energy of North Goa’s bars, restaurants, and Vagator Beach, yet immersed in nature.
Even before we owned it, we knew it would be Q Vagator, the perfect next chapter after Villa in the Palms, The Terraces and Coco Baía. This was a place that would carry the Anokha Estates philosophy forward: neotropical design, high-end coastal living, and a deep respect for the environment it’s built in.
The journey to making it ours took time and a lot of effort. But we never questioned the decision. Land like this is rare.
On the day the plot officially became ours, we drove straight from the sub-registrar’s office to the land. As we arrived, a peacock stood in the centre, feathers fanned in full glory. We took it as a sign, and our hearts were full.
Today, when we stand there, with the Chapora River and lush forest in the foreground, the historic Chapora Fort rising nearby, and the monsoon waves of the Arabian Sea echoing in the background, we can still remember that first drive to this spot. That feeling hasn’t changed.
Some places you choose. Others choose you.
